Billiards is a way to challenge myself to
always be better. I’m certainly no shark, I don’t play pool to beat
others or to make money but simply to improve myself. Much has changed
from my first game. I certainly was not natural… {rather bad actually}… losing my first game of 8-ball in that dark little
bar. My ignorance of the game was great, but my mind was made, at that
moment I decided I would master the game. So I began my journey. I got better with pure stubbornness, as the
sharks told me I would not be good and would never beat them. I
ignored the critics and carried on, since deep inside of me I knew they would be proved wrong.
It does not matter how much someone puts me down, I never give up
my quest. Long gone are the days when I could not hold my own. I make
time to practice every other day. I believe my "improving journey" will continue a lifetime - this as only the beginning.
